AIS™: Confidence, Boundaries & Leadership for Teens
A facilitated program built from Actually, I Slay! — now available to license for your school, district, or organization.
The Story
From Book to Movement
Actually, I Slay! started as a book — a confidence, boundaries, and leadership guide for teen girls, written from 15+ years of frontline experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, and social services. It hit the top 10 in multiple teen nonfiction categories within its first weeks. But a book was never the finish line.
Angela Rosko built the book into AIS™: Confidence, Boundaries & Leadership for Teens — a fully facilitated, group-based program any trained educator, counselor, or mentor can deliver with fidelity, no clinical background required. It's been reviewed by three high school counselors and a licensed clinical counselor to ensure the material is sound and safe for group delivery. AIS is available in a girls-only track and a co-ed adaptation, so it can reach mixed-gender classrooms and youth groups too.
The Gap We Close
Most SEL Programs Stop Short. AIS Doesn't.
Most social-emotional learning curricula touch on confidence without ever going deep on the two things teens say no one ever taught them: how to set a boundary, and how to talk to themselves when no one's watching.
AIS is built around four core pillars:
Confidence
Practical, repeatable tools for showing up and speaking up
Healthy Inner Dialogue
Replacing self-criticism with a voice teens can trust
Boundary-Setting
Saying no without guilt, and meaning it.
Leadership Readiness
Recognizing and using one's own influence
The framework draws on CASEL's SEL competencies, CBT, ACT, and Nonviolent Communication — translated into language and activities built for teens, not clinicians.
